Youtube videos not HD in Tivo?
Sorry for starting a new thread, I searched through much of the Tivo general thread and couldn't find this mentioned.
When I watch Youtube in Tivo there are no options to show it or force it into HD. So, I end up seeing some grainy video.
Something I've missed?
Thanks.

Re: Youtube videos not HD in Tivo?
I have just tried this for MUSE and if you type in say "MUSE HD" it will fetch the HD vids up for you. Have to say that they are not the full HD quality though

You do realise YT is only amateur video?
Very little will be uploaded in HD and quite lot of it is just mobile phone clips

makes me wonder whether the OP expected 'all' YT clips to be in HD/decent quality when in fact most of them are just amateur/mobile phone/sheet video quality

Maybe , personally I find YT poor on my Samsung Smart Blu-Ray player , not a patch on the full PC version.

PS3 youtube is shocking too.
It's ok on iPad, but you don't get to choose resolution, so often you get forced to watch a high quality vid from a distant server that takes too long to play.
All YT players should give you control over resolution. But really only a standard web browser version will do the job.

No, I don't expect Tivo to magic 240p, 360p, 480p video into 720p or 1080p. What I would like to do is view Youtube videos in HD if they have been uploaded in HD. This doesn't appear possible currently, unless I am missing something.
