re: Help with possible scam ?

Firstly

Go directly to www.PAYPAL.com in your web browser and see if there is such a pending charge.

Also on the email hover over the button and see what the URL is (should show it on the bottom left of the email program or as a mouseover pop-up) without clicking on it. Is it a true paypal domain?

If you click there's a chance that you'll end up at a non-paypal look-alike domain that will ask you for your username/password.

Thread title typo corrected

Re: Help with possible scam ?

Have you logged into your PayPal account and checked whether this payment is listed?

Oops, I must learn how to type faster.

Re: Help with possible scam ?

Yep, definite scam (I've obfuscated the URL in your post so no-one follows it)

Firefox and IE is reporting it to be a fake site and if you bypass the warning you end up with a fake paypal login screen.

As you've reported it to Paypal there's nothing else you can do but delete the post

Re: Help with possible scam ?

Paypal knows who you are, your bank knows who you are - so be suspicious of messages that are addressed to 'client' or 'valued customer' instead of 'Dear Banjo'

Re: Help with possible scam ?

Yes and beware of anything purporting to be from a British bank which contains Americanised spelling (e.g. check as opposed to cheque).
