Slow Connections over Home Network

I have recently added to my home network an Iomega Home Media Network 2TB Hard Drive. This comes with bundled software called "Quickprotect". It records every action be it page view or application used. Whilst this is very helpful should you have a problem, this caused my network to be very sluggish. Now that I have disabled this everything is back to normal. What a relief as I was about to buy a new Laptop!!

One thing to consider when troubleshooting slow network performance.
