Philips spd5100cc HDD

Hi all,
First post and deperate. I have an old Philips spd5100cc which held all family photo's which now says that there is nothing on it.
It worked fine yesterday and as far as im aware there hasn't been a power cut at any point.
It registers when plugged into pc as external drive but when plugging into tv usb port it say loading but does not register.
Could this be a driver fault in anyway?
I have tried turning it off from the front etc but nothing, just looks like a designer brick.
Please help

Re: Philips spd5100cc HDD

I'd take it apart and try the hard disk connected directly to the PC if possible, it could be the interface that has failed.
