I want to get a new mp3 player as mine has started to turn itself off.

I dont want anything flash like an Ipod just something half decient with good sound about Â£40 tops.

Anyone have any ideas?

2 or 4GB

I've always had good results with Sansa, I have the Sansa Clip 4Gb version (with micro SD slot). I found it at Currys for a bargain Â£25 a few months ago. Amazon have got it but now it's Â£37.40 http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Sans...6613744&sr=1-8

I've got a Sansa Clip. The sound quality is great. Would highly recommend one.

Another vote for Sansa. I have the Fuze with a small screen and the wife and son have a Clip. Great sound quality on both.

I've been using a Creative Zen for about three or four years, never had a problem with it. It holds photos and document as well.

Creative zen has always been good for me. My mates got a sansa - you won't go wrong with that either.

The Sansa its charged via USB yeah? and how long does it take to charge and how long does it last before recharging usually?

Yes, it's charged via USB. I think it needed an eight hour charge first time as it was almost flat. Now it takes a couple of hours to top up and will run for up to 15 hours.

What ever Mp3 player you go for, try and get some decent earphones as that is the thing most likely to affect the quality of the sound.

Another vote for the SansaClip+. Bought the 8gb one for my daughter last Christmas & she seems to like it. Here's a link to the forum, http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Clip-Cl...p/clipplusclip Some people seem to have some issues with them, but fingers crossed no problems here.

Agreed, cheap buds are crap. I use Sennheiser CX 400-II or Skullcandy Ink'd

I use a pair of Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220 for everyday use
