Bravia Sync?

My TV is a Sony Bravia and has something called Bravia Sync on it.

When I switch my Blu Ray player on it detects and switches itself over to the HDMI channel for my Blu Ray player.

How does this work and will it work with all HDMI inputs? As I cant get it to see my Sky HD box

Cheers

Re: Bravia Sync?

My sky HD box detects when i switch on my dvd recorder...and switches to that channel

It does that under settings in sky box, by recognising scart video output, and having scart control "on".

Does this help?

Using BRAVIA Sync with Control for HDMI

The BRAVIA Sync function on this TV communicates with other Sony equipment supporting the Control for HDMI function.

To connect Sony equipment with Control for HDMI

Use an HDMI cable that bears the HDMI logo for connection. See the HDMI connection shown in the Quick Setup Guide provided with the TV documentation.

Setting the Control for HDMI

The Control for HDMI function must be set up in order for the TV to communicate with other Control for HDMI enabled equipment. For other equipment, refer to its operating instructions.

Re: Bravia Sync?

As your Sky+HD box is not made by Sony, it doesn't have Bravia Sync
