connecting 1 V+HD Box to additional HD TV?

When we purchased a V+HD box (Cisco) from virgin we originally connected the main tv which was a standard tv set without HD.
This was connected via a scart lead. We also connected the same V+HD box to another tv in another room using a coax cable from the tv out port on the cisco box to the input RF on the additional tv in the kitchen.
Now we have purchased an HD ready Tv to replace the main tv connection and found that as soon as we changed the picture display settings to HDMI and 1080p, the second tv won't show a picture. Is this because we have connected a HDMI cable now instead of scart and this is disabling the coax connection to the other tv? If so, what can we do to get the same picture on our other tv without the use of wireless senders which my hubby is convinced won't work in our house? any help appreciated!!

Plenty of information on this if you look around, including advice on potential solutions.

Basically, both the RF and TV SCART are disabled when in HDMI mode.

You, therefore, have to use the VCR SCART to send a signal to a second TV via some sort of SCART to RF convertor.

The good thing about doing that is you can watch sky sports in one room and a recording in another by going to archive recordings in the v+ menu and clicking copy to vcr

Hey, that's very clever. Not heard of that function before.

Thanks for the information, I have used info in other threads and sorted the problem by buying an RF Modulator from Maplins and running a scart from vcr port on back of Virgin box into modulator and plugging the existing coax cable from the 2nd tv into the modulator.
The interesting bit that I certainly didn't know is about the recording thing so many thanks for that info!! I will be having a go at that.
