Mobile phone advice

Hi Peeps

I need a new phone but know nothing about them. I'm on orange. Pay as You Go.

All I really want is an mp3 player and ability to browse internet quite fast. (For Gmail and Gwlad). And to phone people of course.

Hopefully for under £70.

Any ideas?

thanks

Re: Mobile phone advice

Dont know if you can get the Xpressmusic Nokia phone. I have that as pay as you go and have it now three years and it has an mp3 player on it and also you have buttons on the side of it for when you want to stop or the mp3 player and a forward and backward buttons on it as well. Dont know if it is on the market or not still because as I said I have it three years now and I find it brilliant. Hope this helps you

Re: Mobile phone advice

Fast = 3G, and the only reasonably priced 3G on Orange Payg at Carphone warehouse seems to be the Nokia 2730.

Other option seems to be the Sony Ericsson Zylo from Orange - Offer of the week
The Zylo is a "walkman model" phone, the camera lacks flash, and the input is standard keypad, so the 3G makes it a fast internet phone, but the lack of touch or full keyboard makes it a clumsy one.

But you won't get touch or full keyboard and 3G in your price range, though you can get some without 3G, but then you're limited to GPRS speed.

Take a look through there. If you want high speed internet you want to be looking at three, quite a few phones in your price range, the LG GW520 seems to be pretty much what you want, add on an 8Gb memory card and you have plenty of music, high speed internet, (Three gives you 3000 minutes 3-3 calls per 10 pound topup, 300 texts (600 if you topup online) and 150mb internet, valid for 90 days, then you use your 10 pounds. (Which never expires) convert 3 pounds of that 10 to an addon and you get push email as well. plus if you move your existing number they give you a tenner for doing so)
