Reset your epson printer
If anyone has got a Epson printer and ever had the message "The parts inside your printer have come to the end of there service life" and just get flashing lights and the printer stops working? I have found a site with some programs to fix almost all Epson printers.
I had this problem myself, that's the reason I was searching for a solution and found this site.

Re: Reset your epson printer
All moderm epsom printers have a fixed lifespan of a preset number of pages, this is due to the excess ink pot getting overfilled and spilling out into the case/desk...
Personally I used the SSC service utility (a link with details on it's use can be found here
Just remember that eventually the excess ink well will need to be cleaned out!!!

Re: Reset your epson printer
I think Epson should be sued or something for doing it, car manufacturers wouldnt build a car that stopped working after "x" amount of miles, they would never get away with it.

Re: Reset your epson printer
Why??? A car doesn't run forever with out having to take it to a garage for it to be fully serviced, (you could do it at home but you still need the professional OBDII tool to reset the service light)
Printers are the same, if the epson stops working you have the choice of taking it to a printer tech and having the ink well cleaned out and the system reset...

Oh bye the way just wanted to point out, the link the program you gave does not support the newer epsons i.e. r265 (as i found out when i needed it) the link i gave has a more than 1 program which does fix the newer epsons.

It's not in the list but as the website says

Also for R265 users, your printer isn't listed so select the R270 with this version (v4.3) until a newer version is available

Both versions work..the SSC though does do a lot more than simply reset the printer hence I posted it as an option

Re: Reset your epson printer
this is why I'd never buy an Epson, it's bad enough with chipped ink cartridges
