Belkin some sites won't load
Hi all, got a bit of a wierd one here. Thought i'd put the question into networking.
I am on virgin National, but had to change over to my spare Belkin router as the netgear one just had a brush in with megnetic fingers teenage son.
It connects to the net no problem wireless, but once on certain sites that needs you to log in, it either won't load up the sign in screen or it takes several mins, with then not displaying teh entire contents.
Not all sign in sites, this one and facebook, I can sign in straight away, but the likes of ebay are now impossible to sign into.
Checked the firewall, even dissabled it and av during tests, neither seems to solve the problem.
Stats
Virgin ADSL
Router: Belkin F5D9630-4 wireless.
Signal strength 94% and at leats 4 channels away from the nearest ones used.
Any help/Info or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Regards
smee

Re: Belkin some sites won't load
Try emptying your cache, temp files and cookies, and see if that solves the problem

Re: Belkin some sites won't load
I think some Belkin routers have a webpage block function. Have you tried resetting to factory defaults?
Does the same happen if the connection is hard wired or is this not possible.

Re: Belkin some sites won't load
Run this command at a command prompt when successful restart the computer and try loading the webpage again. The command resets the TCP/IP Stack

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Re: Belkin some sites won't load
Thanks for the suggestions guys, tried them all. After looking online, over the past, looks like Belkin Modem Routers have had some issues with regarding secure sign in pages, especially ebay and hotmail. Most peeps have had theirs rectified with firmware upgrades or changing the mtu to 1400 both on router and pc. Tried the lot to no avail.
Still waiting on Belkin support to get back to me, i'm not holding up much hope of a cure from there
Maybe it's time i bit the bullet and got a linksys from ebay lol

Re: Belkin some sites won't load
I get similar issues with my wired safecom router. Sometimes my bank's website won't let me log in, and sometimes when I try and buy cinema tickets it won't work
Tried various browser, OSs, computers, same problem, plug modem into pc works fine.
