Firefox Users
Firefox 3.6.4 is released now.
Quote:
Firefox 3.6.4 provides uninterrupted browsing for Windows and Linux users when there is a crash in the Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime or Microsoft Silverlight plugins.
If a plugin crashes or freezes, it will not affect the rest of Firefox. You will be able to reload the page to restart the plugin and try again.

Re: Firefox Users
Thanks for the link, My normal antenna for Firefox seems to have let me down this time.

Re: Firefox Users
My install of 3.6.4 is errm...buggy to say the least. Crashes everytime I (a)wish to add images to posts on this forum...every time and (b)everytime I want to download something, it also hangs.
I'm running a Dell Laptop with XP SP3 and 2GB RAM (work machine).

Re: Firefox Users
I'm using XP SP3 on my main computer and Vista on my Samsung laptop. My installs both seem to have been OK. I have been loading images on to a couple of sites this morning with no problem and had no problem changing my avatar on here.
Would it be worth while going back to the previous Firefox and then trying a reinstall of this new version?
Add. I have just had a look on mozilla.support.firefox and it appears that there are several people reporting the same problem with crashes as your self but no one seems to have come up with a definitive reason yet. Seems ironic that this version was supposed to have crash protection as one of it's main new innovations.

Re: Firefox Users
Gecko 1.9.2.5 is being used for Fennec (mobile FF). 3.6.6 uses gecko 1.9.2.6 as its platform. Hence to keep versioning consistent 3.6.5 has been skipped.

I have started to evaluate Chrome. I am sick and tired of FireFox crashing and being altogether crap at the moment.
