Webmail Spellcheck

Does anybody know how to change the webmail spellcheck language to English UK and make it stay there? At the moment mine always comes up as "Auto" which seems to be English US.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with webmail or my pc settings but I have checked my regional settings and my language options in Firefox and everything seems to be set to English UK.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Re: Webmail Spellcheck

Just logged into mine and it was set on English (UK).

I would try changing to something else, then save settings, log-out, log back in again, if they're still as you left them, change to UK and save, and see what happens.

Re: Webmail Spellcheck

My language is set to auto when I first open the spellcheck language, if I set it to English UK it still tries to correct spellings such as colour with color as if it is set to US. If I leave webmail and then go back in to it the language has gone back to auto.

I have tried Google Chrome and webmail seems ok in that, still comes up as auto but the language is English UK so it must be a Firefox problem.
I had somehow managed to get a US version of Firefox but I have now downloaded the En GB version and it is still the same.

I know that the obvious answer is use Chrome instead of Firefox but I would much prefer to use Firefox if I could.

I also notice that both Firefox and IE 7 say that the adverts in webmail are unsafe, has anybody else noticed this.

Assuming that you are referring to the VM Webmail site? If yes, then try this:

Log onto your Webmail as usual. After it has loaded, go to settings, click on the general tab and then (from the drop down box) select the language you want - in this case English (UK).

It may well be that the two settings, I.e. Languages and spell check have to be set to the the same in order to work as you want.

Give it a try.

Cheers and Si thee
