Agreed! Tantrums with 2 year olds is something to be expected, yet they look on while he endangers his life.

The cynic in me wonders if he's worth more as a money making attraction to the parents.

Re: Two year old on 40 a day!
A quote by the boys father, "He looks pretty healthy to me, I don't see the problem".
Obviously the parents have given the boy cigarettes in the past for the poor little mite to be on forty a day...if ever a child needed to be taken from unfit parents then this has to be one of those cases.

I am a smoker have been most of my life but cannot under any circumstances ever imagine allowing this or ever trying to defend it. Parents like this sicken me and thats being very polite absolutely disgusting situation and one that should never happen in any country.

Why's everyone getting so worked up about this 'story'?? Everyone knows that all the Dail Mail prints is stuff and nonsense, lies and provocation.....

Even a blind squirrel can find the odd acorn and the story doesn't seem to be their normal brand of hate mongering. Now if they had said a benefit claiming couple in the UK had allowed this i might put it down to usual DM rubbish.

Re: Two year old on 40 a day!
Interestingly, I just googled his name. ALL the links I found cite either the Daily Mail or Metro newspaper websites as sources, apart from the one from The Sun (who don't have a great record for truthful reporting). It's worth noting that the Mail publishes Metro.
Even the BBC don't seem to consider it news, apart from one Blog entry.
Oh, and I watched the video. It could be real, but any halfway decent user of Adobe's After effects could have faked it.
If it is true, then the child should be removed from the parents for his own good.

My money's on it being a fake. Bits of the video somehow don't look quite right to me. Also some reports say the child had his first cigarette at 18 months old. A person's first cigarette almost always makes them feel very unwell and I don't think an 18 month old would persevere through that to the point of becoming addicted. I also find it difficult to believe anyone would develop a forty-a-day habit in six months.
