Thumbs up Cisco 4585DVB

Hi all,

Sorry for interupting you all, but does anyone know how if possible to dim the brightness of the blue display on the V HD box (CISCO 4585DVB). My bedroom is illuminated at night like a shop window in Amsterdam !!!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cisco 4585DVB

Possibly switch off the plug, It's not a V+ so does it need to be on?

Re: Cisco 4585DVB

Have you looked through the settings menu to see if there is anything? On my V+ I just use 2 pieces of card to cover the blue lights on the front

Either use card or pull the lead out of the back of the box.

Re: Cisco 4585DVB

The display does dim when it goes into standby, I've even noticed the colon not flashing during the night. You can also choose to put it into power saving standby which switches off the clock display.

Re: Cisco 4585DVB

When you press the standby button on the remote, it asks you if you want to turn the box to "standby" or "power off" select power off and all the lights will go out except a red power light. If you select standby the blue clock stays on.

Re: Cisco 4585DVB

B and Q do a R/C for household sockets, it simply plugs in to the wall and the devices plugs into the device.

I've seen something similar in PoundStrecher as well. I use one in the conservatory to turn off the V box, TV, Wii etc etc etc...

Hope that helps
