JVC miniDVD GR-DX95ek

Right .. second time I have typed all this ! I have a JVC GR-DX95ek, inherited from my son, which has worked OK up until now (recognised by pc, even though I am having much trouble with editing programmes !)

Problem now is .. no image on lcd or in viewfinder .. just grey fuzz. Last actions were to connect to tv with cables supplied and view the recorded footoage on the tape .. worked fine.

Disconnected from tv (unplugged cable from mini-usb on the front), recharged battery and replaced mini-cassette with a fresh one. Switched on. . . zero. Screen activated with all of the little icons but no actual images, just grey screen
If I move my fingers up and down in fron of the lens there is a very very slight impression of movement but not very much .. Have I pushed a wrong button somewhere or made a wrong setting .. or is it bust ?

Any ideas ..

Re: JVC miniDVD GR-DX95ek

Why have you had to type it twice?
have you googled the problem?
I did, and it seems to indicate the CCD is goosed.
I do seem to remember it happening to me once a long time ago, but it fixed itself when I took the battery out then replaced it.

The OP originally posted this in the articles section which automatically moderates posts until approved hence they entered it twice. Duplicate has since been removed
