Blackberry 8900

Someone has given me a Blackberry 8900 they no longer need, can this be used with a PAYG sim or does it have to be tied to the contract it came on? I see them for sale second hand all over the place.

Re: Blackberry 8900

Should be fine, you can buy Blackberrys on PayG so should operate as normal, obviously you wont have the free internet and blackberry email stuff but otherwise should be fine

Re: Blackberry 8900

O2 Simplicity do a monthly package for £20 which includes the Blackberry Bolt-on, and 1800 texts and 800 minutes (I think) - it's a 12 month contract, though.

Here you go - choose the 12 month tariff with the description

"Online simplicity 20 SIM Only
12 months contract
1600 texts / 800 mins
Includes Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls"

and then (after you have selected the £20 per month tariff, and clicked on the "Select Tariff" button), you change the bolt-on to the Blackberry Unlimited UK (I've just done it for my son and daughter - bought them both a 8520 from CPW).
