Thumbs down V+ HDMI output has died.

A few flickers and now the V+ box only outputs audio and no video via HDMI. SCART is fine, fortunately. Common problem anyone? Chances of getting it swapped out before 2010?

Get it reported. Sooner you do the sooner someone can come out.

Well aware of that thank you.
Circumstances mean I can't use the phone(s) just yet.

Re: V+ HDMI output has died.

While you wait, have you tried changing the HDMI cable?

Re: V+ HDMI output has died.

Yeah. And the Xbox works OK with the same cable too, in the same port on the TV.

Cheers.

Re: V+ HDMI output has died.

I know it's unlikely but, just in case they can come out to you at short notice and the engineer decides to swap your V+, I would consider downloading any saved programs that aren't on catch up as soon as possible and making a note of any programs you have set to record to save having to do it it a hurry and missing something.

Re: V+ HDMI output has died.

Thanks both. I hadn't considered either of those. I tried twice to call VM yesterday but was on hold for an insane amount of time so I think I'll leave it until after Xmas now.

Re: V+ HDMI output has died.

Had a similar problem twice this month with hdmi, wouldn't work atall or the picture would jump around the screen. Although after pressing reset was back to normal. Hopefully you get it fixed before Christmas movies etc.

Absolutely none whatsoever. The last time I had a problem like this I was quoted ten days.

Good job the SCART still works then.
We have another box upstairs but it's not a V+ box.
Not the end of the World. Being snowed in is worse..
