Upgrade to 20 MB Broadband
Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading to 20MB (XL) Broadband. Question is, how much would I pay ?
I'm currently on:-
Telephone line rental £11
Phone TV Broadband L Discount -£12.50
TV Size L £11.50
Broadband Size L £25
E Bill Discount -£1
I can't see any relevant prices on the Virgin site, except those for new customers. How would my discount be affected ? Would I automatically get a greater discount, or would I have to grovel for it ?
thanks

Re: Upgrade to 20 MB Broadband
Your new total monthly bill will be £40:
Telephone line rental £11
Phone TV Broadband L Discount -£18.50
TV Size L £11.50
Broadband Size L £37
E Bill Discount -£1
PS Do not try to do this upgrade online. Speak to customer service.

Where on the VM web site is this pricing combination defined? It should be there on a few mouse clicks put I can't put that together let alone find mention of BB XL at £37/month.

Re: Upgrade to 20 MB Broadband
It will be on the website as £20 a month which is £37 - £17
Then TV L is down on the website as £10 a month which is £11.50 - £1.50
Both are on top of £11 line rental
So
£11 + £20 + £10 = £41 - £1 ebill discount = £40
Exactly the same as above

No customer should have to go through that convolution to arrive at their pricing. VM's back office systems are somewhat primitive.

Re: Upgrade to 20 MB Broadband
I agree that the bills should match what the website says (or vice versa)
However how it is actually broken down on the bill is less revelvant than making sure the total service charge matches what you were quoted for services.
