worried
Last week my youngest boy told me that he saw his older brother watching porn on the family tv. I asked my oldest about it and he said that it was a dvd and to leave him alone and that he threw it away. I went in the trash but couldn't find it... then I went into the neighbors trash and couldn't find it there either (I thought he might have thrown it in there so I wouldn't find it in ours and ask him about it) Anyways... Now... I'm not so sure that it was a dvd... I'm afraid that he was watching it on tv. We do not subscribe to any kind of adult materials... do you think he figured out some way to tune it in or something? Am I going to be charged for this? Are the people at the company going to think I'm a pervert? I'm really worried about this.

Re: worried
It sounds more likely that he has hidden the disk or given it back to a friend.

Re: worried
There is pay-per-view adult content. If he knows the PIN, he could watch them. The charges will get added to your next bill. They are listed as "additional feature" on the bill, and mostly are £5 per view.
If you don't want it to happen again, change the PIN (in the Parental Settings menu).
No-one at VM is going to think you are a pervert. In fact no-one will even know. The billing is all done automatically.
ps, Welcome to the forum!

Re: worried
I am really upset now... I just found out that he has been doing this every day before I get home from work for two weeks now. I still have not found a disk... anywhere and I have torn his room apart. He shouldn't know the PIN because I don't even know what it is.

If it is the default pin then it will be 1234 as simple as that.

Re: worried
I tried 1234... no luck. I don't remember ever setting a code either... :/ That boy is in a world of hurt if I get a huge bill. I'm going to beat his ass.

You can call in and get them to reset it to the default pin then you can set it to one of your own.

Re: worried
It's totally natural for young boys to be interested and curious about porn. So long as it isn't perverted stuff it'll do him no harm.

Re: worried
Hmm, trash, ass, world of hurt
You wouldn't per-chance not be in the UK? If so then the PIN and comments about your bill is probably not the same as whereever you actually are..

When VM last reset my PIN, it reverted to 0000.

Re: worried
How old is the boy?
This would IMHO be pretty normal for a Teenager as long as it is 'standard' porn.

Even if they did find out, you are one of several million customers. They really are not going to worry, after all they are in business to make money, if only one person viewed the porn channels, they wouldn't carry any.
An example. When I worked in blockbusters, they didn't carry hardcore porn (but did have a lot of softcore stuff). However, when customers rented some porn, tbh, I didn't notice. As long as they paid the rental fee, and any late fees, I really didn't care what video they rented..
to the forum though. As Spiderplant says, the billing is automated, humans won't see what you have rented, even assuming it's not a borrowed DVD.
TBH, even if they have to look it up in future (such as they might have to if you query a bill), I doubt they'd worry about the content.

Then I would tell them why I have to reset and I would have to tell them that it was because my son was watching porn and then they would know that porn was in our house!!! I don't think I can handle this. :/
