50mb Problems

Evening all one of my friends has been having problems with his 50mb service mainly when he is downloading at full speed this is without the router so directly connected to modem via Ethernet cable, I asked him what’s it like when you’re not downloading he said it’s ok but it doesn’t like YouTube neither he said his connection keeps dropping out he said to me the tick light on the modem goes off, he has had a number of technicians out and they say they can’t fix it, they said it’s something to do with the return patch or something please find the three attached images of his power levels and that.

OK his power levels are within operational parameters and the engineers say that the is an issue with his Return path, so I would post the modem logs for Broadbanding to look at as he is the man for that.

If he sees anything untoward then you know what to tell the 50Mb support team when he calls in again.

50Mb Support 0800 052 0431 call as soon after 0800 tomorrow if possible.

Just paste them here. Return path is the upstream path, from modem to Virgin Media.

If people are going to post modem logs then please remove MAC addresses otherwise the logs will be deleted

Depends what equipment you are connected to. If Cisco 3 if Motorola 4, will be 4 for both at some point.

ahh right. reason i ask is i had 50 meg installed today, and im getting about 2.5 - 17 meg max on newsgroups. Have 3 channels bonded.
