Problems with Sky News
This is a weird one.
I am having problems with Sky News, every 4 seconds the picture and sound break (like somebody pressing a pause button).
I rebooted the box (leaving power of for about 10 seconds).
But it still goes wrong.
All other channels are OK.

Re: Problems with Sky News
This may sound funny and a bit crazy but I used to suffer with a similar fault with a couple of my channels and it always happened on a windy day like today. As soon as the weather improved everything worked as normal. I have not suffered from the problem for months now.
And no I am not on the wine!!!!!

Will check if theres an area issue with this channel when next in work.... but if other boxes are fine, then points to something just with the V+.
It is possible for a channel fault to be on 1 box type though... I will get back to you

OK.. checked and there are no known area/platform faults from your headend, so it points to a STB or connection issue. I would suggest reporting it to VM via the newsgroups. Let us know if you need the link to set up.

Re: Problems with Sky News
Right last night I turned of the box and removed the card and wiped it with a cleaning cloth.
Put it back in and turned on It stated on tune for over an hour, afterwhich I pulled the plug and left it off over night, before I went to work I plugged it in. well 8 hours later its still on tune.
I rebboted and held the down button and its now on RP:52 (or PR:52 i think)
Any Ideas?
Also the card did look a bit cooked (almost burnt)
Panic over it back (no more rebooting ) Sky News is still crap.
When are the new cards being issued?
