New Contract confusion

I recently (and quite happily) got in touch with disconnections to discuss my bill charges and possibly upgrading to a V+ box. The Very Nice Man discounted my bill by a further £10.45 and booked installation of the V+ box for £49 (not the £75) on their ad. I was quite happy with this...

I get in the installation letter which "sets out all the services you have at the monthly charges we've agree'd" unfortunately it lists everything TWICE.

I phoned when I got the letter and they assured that it was ok and that I would only be paying £39 a month as agreed, but he couldn't explain why everything appears twice (coming to a total of £78) on the contract.

I've e-mailed, asking them to put it in writing that the monthly cost will be £39 but have yet to hear anything.

I am a little concerned, and wondered if anyone else had a similar experience?

Apparently not.

But we're all waiting for the next instalment! (Or double instalment as many of us would suspect!)

A VM customer service guy, will be able to explain. BenMcr will be the best to advise.

It can happy. Haven't a clue why. But if everything appears twice (including line rental) then it's definately only to charge one of each

Re: New Contract confusion

I got an e-mail back from CS confirming that the charge was definitely only £39 a month - they couldn't say why everything was listed twice - but I'm a lot happier now I actually have something in writing.

The original CS guy I spoke to on the phone thought it might have something to do with me being on one contract and changing to another - they had listed both on the system until the date of changeover - but he wasn't very sure.

As long as the bill is ok then I guess it doesn;t matter (so keep your fingers crossed!)
