Another upgrade thread
right in about 2 weeks i will be going for a core i7 but what do you reckon would be better?
This bundle link
or
Mobo
Cpu
Ram
Cooler
If i buy the parts separate then i have to overclock it myself but get faster ram and a better looking mobo, but if i buy the bundle then it is guarenteed to be overclocked to 4.0ghz so what do you all think what should i go for?
tax man said about 7-10 days and i get my rebate which is why i'm upgrading

Re: Another upgrade thread
Overclockers are useless they will overclock but will they stress test it I doubt it they couldnt even fault diagnose a gfx card that everyone from ATI to OCZ to Me mamaged to . I wouldnt trust them but thats me
You already have a water loop do you not cant you just get a block and use your existing loop? seems to me the overclocking bundle is wasting you money but its yours to do with as you please
Bare in mind once overclockers have overclocked your cpu all warranty with manufacturers can be voided and purely with OCUK who from experience will try to get out of it if they can

Re: Another upgrade thread
i can get a waterblock for my current loop but it is about the same price as the corsair water kit.
i'm thinking of the bundle because it saves me having to try and overclock myself and not getting the same speed, the difference in price is about £2 between the bundle and the parts by them selves.
if i get the seperate loop for the cpu then that means i can leave my gtx280 on its own loop.

Re: Another upgrade thread
i have the coolermaster cosmos s sport case with a dual rad at the top and i can put the 2nd rad on the back, as i have had a 2nd loop in before but had to let my dad have it as his loop leaked.
