Tsunami alert issued for 5 countries

A tsunami watch has been issued for India, Burma, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh after a magnitude 7.6 earthquake, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre says.

Not good, think Sky got this bit wrong though.

It prompted a tsunami warning for waves of up to 50cm (20 inches) for parts of the Pacific coast, the country's meteorological agency said.

There is also an alert for japan after a 6.4 quake there but I feel this is the one to watch as if this comes off

some countries will get hammered hard
