What is your favourite language
So what is your favourite language? My mother tongue is Pashto, which is also my favorite language. I can also speak Persian (Dari, spoken in Afghanistan) which i really love, but don't confuse that with Farsi Persian spoken in Iran which i don't really like because of their accent and their strong borrowing of words of Arabic and French and other languages
Also what languages can you speak? i can speak Pashto, Farsi, Tajik, Dari, Uzbek, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, English and some Russian, im also starting to try and learn Arabic and Spanish.

Why bother with what language you can speak - Big Mac & fries sounds the same in any language.

Re: What is your favourite language
Well, purely because it's the only language I'm fluent in, I went for English.
My German & French are rather rusty, having not really been used since I did them at GCSE...
I can swear in Greek & Russian though, so I suppose that's something.

You always learn swear words first! In every language i spoke, i always learnt the swear words first, then everything else. Thats the first step!

Re: What is your favourite language
I love both Dutch and Spanish language, although I don't claim to be fluent in either.
I once studied a little Thai which is an amazing language if not a little cranky
