Scam email received regarding update of account details

Has anyone else received an email purporting to be from Virgin asking the account holder to click on a link and verify account details? I take it, it is a scam?

Re: Scam email received regarding update of account details

Easiest way of telling is to look at the REAL HYPERLINKED URL (hover the mouse over the link) and if it's not ....virginmedia.com/... but instead something like ...virginmedia.limdadsf.com then yes it is a phishing email...

Though gawd knows why they'd want to phish a VM account as it's not as if they can take money out of it..

But still why would they need it?? Not as if they can't spoof a domain/IP when they send out SPAM..
