Windows 7 Setup Help
I would like to install Windows 7 onto my machine, preferably a complete format (as W7 now seems stable).
My current rig has a 500GB hard drive and I have a IDE 80GB I could use if needed for backups or what ever.
So, I can download Windows 7 from MDNA (legal free download for students) and burn it to a disc.
What would be the best option for me? Format my 500GB HDD and use the 80GB one to back up my data? What would you suggest.
Thanks

Re: Windows 7 Setup Help
personally i would install windows 7 on the 80GB disk first, that way if you don't like it it won't be a problem going back to your current setup - it just means swapping over which disk is the boot disk.

Unless your MSDNAA Program Administrator has created his or her own download for Windows 7 RC, you'll be getting the previous beta. I am the MSDNAA Program Administrator for the Uni I work for and we've been notified that elms (the company that runs the MSDNAA system for Microsoft) will be officially releasing Windows 7 RC on the system on the 7th May.
If your MSDN PA has created his own download, it should work, but I would recommend waiting.

Re: Windows 7 Setup Help
Why not just use the publicly available RC? Unless there is something different in the MSDNAA version which i doubt.

Re: Windows 7 Setup Help
There won't be any difference as far as I know, but if you have access to the MSDNAA, you may get faster downloads.
