Mansfield NG17/NG18/NG19

Hi Guys,

I wondered if anyone can help, VirginMedia tech support in India cant. I woke up Friday morning and couldnt get on my 20mb connection. Called MV and they ran me through checks over the phones and sent a test signal to my modem, didnt work.

MV arranged for an engineer to come out today at lunchtime. When he arrived he said he wasnt sure why they had sent him as they already know that they have issues in my area due to upgrading thier equipment to accomodate 50mb connections. He said that he wasnt sure when it would be back up.

I called tech support again, message on the line said that Mansfield NG17 etc was down but they were in the process of fixing it. Got through to tech support, the scripted guy said that he would run the tests again. I said to him there was no need as I had already been through this and told him about the message on the line.

The tech support said that he will send an engineer out!!! I said I dont need an engineer, one had already been today. I asked when it will be up and obviously he had no clue about the fault. He said he would look into the matter and come back to me within 2 hours. 4 hours later I'm still waiting.

All I want to know is when my internet will be up. I occasionally work from home and have some large files to send on Monday and need to know if I will be able to do it or if I need to find an alternative connection.

Any help would be great.
sorry about the ramblings
