I have a samsung 2110-c Box and it come with a blue remote control when i got it, the control recently broke and virgin sent me a new one.
With the old remote and had used a code that allowed me to change the volume of the tv and to turn the tv onto standby and to change over to the AV channel using the star and hash keys.
I tried to put the code into the new remote but have failed and now the remote wont even change the volume of the set top box.
I rang virgin and was given about 10 different codes and 4 universal codes, i tried the codes but they would not work.
I have been told to hold down the star button and the settings button for a few seconds untill the light flashes and then enter the code. The light flashes but then nothing happens when i enter the code, when i press okay the light just goes red.
they do not use codes the volume control on the remote uses the vol setting of 1 -10 on the V box settings. I have a sam 2110 and this work fine a oblong box appears in bottom right of screen to show vol levels to adjust
If the light flashes red, you haven't entered a valid code. Perhaps they gave you the codes for a different model remote, such as the V+.
You can find instructions and codes for your remote here, or use the help pages in the menus on your STB. Code 000 sets the blue remote so it will control the STB volume.
Hi, I have the V+, and have the remote controlling my TV volume. Is the V+ remote also capable of turning the TV onto stand by? That would make my actual TV remote almost redundant (with the exception of the Source/Input button).
