Free TV streamed to you PC
I was checking a post on another forum and was given this link http://tvcatchup.com.
Its free and has the following channels. The quality is great
BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, ITV 1, ITV 2, ITV 3, ITV 4, Channel 4, E4, More 4, Five, Five US, Fiver, Film Four, Dave, CBBC & BBC News.
They'll be adding 6 additional channels (including Virgin 1. Sky Sports News, Yesterday) and a desktop player with a record facility/pause/rewind etc in the very near future, essentially an online freeview PVR. Right click the channel your viewing for fullscreen

Re: Free TV streamed to you PC
Doesn't work for me using Firefox, but ok in IE.
Can't see any difference between low and high quality, even the download rate is the same which I would expect is the very reason for the different quality settings.

Works fine for me using Firefox on Linux, maybe you need nightly tester tools to override any compatibility issues.

Re: Free TV streamed to you PC
Found the problem with Firefox. It seems an add-on called Adblock needs disabling.

Re: Free TV streamed to you PC
Presumably if you watch this - it soon eats away at the "allowance" and you'll soon head for STM?

Using the site will eat away all your bandwidth, but even under STM, there's enough bandwidth to carry on watching the shows over the site. Just your downloads will be slower.

Re: Free TV streamed to you PC
It depends on the quality of the show. Higher = more bandwidth. I've not tried myself, though I'm sure it's not hard to run a bandwidth monitor while watching a programme.
