Exclamation Not Happy With Virgin Media Rep

ok i am not happy with my 50mb Broadband. I was told i would have to pay a £99 fee for them to come out and replace the modem for a older sleeky thing and i would not get a refund when other customers have been refunded the full £80 if they are unhappy with their service and put them back to 20MB.

So if i want to cancel out 50MB i got to pay £99.00 for them to collect the modem then i got to pay the £80 install charges on top

i been a customer for 9yrs and they got a cheek to tell me this.

I bet you've only had it no more than 3 days?

Re: Not Happy With Virgin Media Rep

If you cancel the 50Mbit they don't need to replace the modem - they just put you on the lower code.

However if you have had 50Mbit over 28 days you usually won't get the £80 back

Re: Not Happy With Virgin Media Rep

I had it for 3 days and she has put me down to 20MB on the new modem but she said i still got to pay £50 for the N Router and £30 for the modem so she claimed coz i went through customer relations. I should not be paying this though. If thats the way they want to be ill plug my surfboard modem in and send their modem and router back to them

Re: Not Happy With Virgin Media Rep

You haven't got to pay them anything. you are well within the trial period, and it's at their own expense that will cover you not wanting it.

Post in virginmedia.feedback and the staff will help. don't agree to pay anything.

Re: Not Happy With Virgin Media Rep

Absolutely no problem with keeping that modem on a lower tier what Ben says is correct.
