Phone for SK10 faults since last week

Phone for SK10 faults since last week

My phone line has a lot of back ground humming noise, so rang VM last week, recorded message saying they are fixing some faults, rang them again today, same message, anybody know what is happening in the SK10 area? and what is the fault? Is there a news group like broadband for phones?

I phoned engineers yesterday and today an engineer arrived and determined
there is a faulty joint near the cabinet, they will fix it next week.

The area is SK10 in Macclesfield, I also asked the engineer what is going
on, he said there is a bundle of ungrading work in the area. Looks like I am talking all to myself here!!
