'Youngest' baby has brain glue op
A nice heart warming story.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7802757.stm
Quote:
A UK baby has become one of the youngest in the world to undergo an operation using glue to reduce the size of a brain tumour.
Madison Quartarone was just a week old when the procedure was carried out at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She was found to have a large, benign tumour, and glue was used to block the blood vessels supplying it, effectively starving it of nutrients.

It's early days yet but she is said to be "doing well".

Well said tweetypie. I couldn't have put it better.
I find it incredible how inventive and resourceful the human race is. Using glue like this, the progress we have made in medical science really boggles my mind.

Agreed. Its incredible to see what can be done today to mend the problems that our bodys sometimes produce.
As Tweeypie said - Hope she recovers fully and has a long and happy life ahead of her.
