Virgin Broadband - Sky Sagem Router

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help me?
Im on VM Broadband and have recently been given a free wireless router
from a friend who upgraded. My problem is that it is a Sky Sagem wireless
router.... I had a good play around with it and it will connect to my laptop but I can't access the internet! A DNS error apparently.

Any ideas??

to the forum. If you mean it is a sky branded sagem router, that may be why it does not work. Are you on Virgin Cable or ADSL?

If you are on Virgin Cable, that is why the router will not work. Sky use ADSL, so it is an ADSL router.

Sky modem routers can't even be used with other ADSL services, so don't bother.
