A note for Smallworld and Wright Cable.
Hi folks,
I am just wondering if there are any Wright Cable and Smallworld members using this forum. Is SW and Wright C service is just like VM? Offering a choice of Cable and ADSL? What is the company like, etc? It just seem that the forum is just entirely devoted to VM. Lets hear another voice in the forum for Smallworld and Wright Cable. I hear they are the only other two Cable providers in the whole of the UK.
Thanks,
Boabyboy

Isn't it called Wight Cable? As in Isle of Wight?

That's right. A mate of mine from Troon, Ayrshire had it. Reasonable speeds but at that time (2-3 years ago) it was always hassle for him if he changed PC... had to reregister mac addresses to get static IP but it wasn't straightforward. I don't think he got the TV service though

Re: A note for Smallworld and Wright Cable.
Smallworld Media covers:
Carisle
Morecombe
Southern Glasgow
Ayrshire
It is virtually the same thing as Virgin Media, the only difference is that they have the Sky basic channels and 20MB broadband sold at £32 whilst Virgin Media sell it as a standalone non bundle price of £37.
Wight Cable is the same, but they have some kind of wireless TV and internet I think too, for houses which the cable can't reach.
