sound cards

my motherboard is a asus striker II extreme 790i ultra and basically it has a daughter card for the sound but it just isn't loud enough.

i also have a creative x-fi fidelity card but that is loud enough but it doesn't work properly, the sound cuts out and when playing games it crackles like mad.

basically i want to know is it possible to increase the volume of the sound outputted by my current card, with out going through speakers just using my fidelity headset?
