Backup Software.

Looking for some backup software that Meets the following Critiera

1) Will run on Windows Xp and Vista

2) Runs silently in the background

3) Backs up to a network Share (Or Client/Server type config would also be fine)

4) In the event of the Share/Server being Unavailable does not disturb the user but rather simply will "Retry later"

5) Supports encryption.

Anyone got any ideas?

http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp is also free, but doesn't support encryption.

Re: Backup Software.

Dragon - sorry, not sure if this meets all your criteria, perhaps you could check.
I bought this (earlier version) a while ago and was happy with it.
Damn cheap for a powerful app.

Re: Backup Software.

I use Memeo Autobackup which came free with my Buffalo Linkstation. After some initial set up problems, which their forum helped with, I have this running on XP and vista . This offers realtime backup and backs up automatically to my NAS and also saves previous versions if you choose to set this up. Encryption is possible but I haven't tried that. There is a 30 day trial available here.
