Caller Display...

Can anyone tell me if this item would work with a virgin media phone line?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BT-Caller-ID-D...3A1|240%3A1318

I don't have an answerphone service with vm but i was thinking of adding caller display but before i do i am looking to buy a caller display unit and if compatible was thinking of getting one of the above.

Cheers

Re: Caller Display...

Caller ID is enabled in some areas, but not in all. Customer Services may be able to tell you,

Like Stuart says, you need to look into getting caller ID BEFORE you buy a unit like that, cos i might not be available.

Re: Caller Display...

There's no guarantees either way but, given that it's a BT device, I suspect it won't work.

Re: Caller Display...

You have to ask Virgin to enable caller display and it is not free anyway and you can then see the callers number in most handsets with screens.

There's no reason why it shouldn't work just because it's a BT device, I have BT and C&W phones with caller display and both operate fine on a VM phone line.
