Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
Hello!
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place!
I'm due an upgrade on my mobile phone and I'm unsure which new to choose?
I've currently got a Samsung U600 and have had nothing but problems with it, so I'll not be choosing Samsung again! I'm not fussed about which brand, but it needs to have a good camera.
Any advice welcomed!

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
I'd recommend any of the Nokia N-Series...especially the N95. Its a popular and useful handset. Good camera and media features and not too huge or heavy.
Downside is, if you like to be individual then this phone is probably not the best as many people have them now (which is a testament to how good they are really).

Not always the case. The 1st Motorola Razor sold loads but was a rubbish phone.

I'm considering the LG Viewty or the Sony Ericsson k850i. Does anyone have experience of these?

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
The gadget show did a test a few weeks back and the Nokia N82 came out top (although the tests are a bit over the top for the average life);

I know someone with a viewty and all I can say is that I'm impressed with it. Well built, good LCD display, easy to use. The only downer is the battery life is a little poor, when you start watching a lot of video, otherwise it's a .
Go down your local Carphone Warehouse and have a play.

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
The LG Viewty is a fantastic phone. I had a play around on one the other week and was going to upgrade to it from my N95 which is also a fab phone.
However I went for the new Samsung U900, so far I like it but after having the N95 there are so many things I miss I might just put the U900 on Ebay and keep the N95.

What's the Viewty like to compose text messages? I'm concerned it would be difficult to use for this!

I got the LG Viewty a couple of weeks ago and it is an excellent phone, i would definately recommend it. It's touch screen, easy to use, has a very good camera (5 megapixels), music player, video messaging etc. The only small downside of it for me is that the stylus they give you with hasn't got a slot to go in on the phone which is a bit annoying, but i havent't found the need to use the stylus yet so it's not really a problem for me.

I was also concerned when i got it, but it is very easy to do, you can use the stylus or your fingers and have the option of using a onscreen keypad (like a regular phone), a keyboard, or writing the text by hand either using the stylus or your finger.

Thanks for that, I've ordered the Viewty, to be delivered tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on! I called the rententions department to say I was thinking of cancelling in light of all the problems I've had with the U600 and they also reduced my tariff by £10 a month and gave me more minutes too!

Did you checkout reviews on Youtube? I did tons of research before deciding on the n95 8gb - It's the best phone i've had to-date.

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
U sed to have a samsung D600, it was a fantastic phone, then I got a Sony ericsson w810i again fantastic phone, probably best I have ever owned. Now I have a samsung G600, pretty to look at, but a horrible phone.
I would go for a sony ericsson from now on in.
I was thinking of selling this and getting the se w580i
thats only my opinions though

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
I've had the N95 for over a year now and ive decided not to upgrade yet - there is no better phone on the markey yet and its worth waiting for the N96 in August

Re: Which mobile phone to upgrade to?
Just recently got a HTC tytn2 (Kaizer), Brilliant in terms of features, the keyboard makes it so easy to send an email or sms.
Battery life is poo tho
Then again it is a PDA/Phone so it's not that suprising.
