RROD Question
I recently got the dreaded RROD but every now and then it plays fine is there anyway I can check it and fix it instead of it going to xbox hospital

Yes and no. If you open it and break it then it's your fault and Microsoft won't fix it.

There are manuals you can buy on the net to fix RROD for about $25, but I wouldn't, if your x-box is less than three years old its now covered under MSs new RROD extended warranty.

Easier to just get MS to fix it for free than mess about trying to sort it yourself, I think...

I'd agree with that - once my 360 decided to have it's RROD just after I'd already reported what I thought was a separate fault, MS had it repaired and returned within 10 days

Send it back and you'll get a shiny new motherboard with the updated heatsink/heatpipe configuration.

I am gonna send it off tomorrow I think I just am not looking forward to this o well I get my new PC parts soon so can play around with my PC for a little while and my DS
