Anyone had experiance with Repairing a DS?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LCD-Screen-Rep...QQcmdZViewItem

Has anyone ever tried one of these?

I know someone who accidentally trod on their Sons DS breaking the top LCD (it's cracked/smashed) I could take a shot at replacing the screen but it depends how easy it is to do.

Looks like it might be a case of just opening the case, swapping the screen plugging the ribbon cable in?

I tried replacing my black case with a transparent one, in the process I destroyed both the lower screen and the touch screen. There are a lot of photo's on Flickr, this one shows you the internals - http://tinyurl.com/5dreab

Those edge connectors are fiddly and flimsy (see pic).

I belive the older DS has a similar layout. That edge connector is a flimsy, springy thing and I found it a nuisance to reconnect. If you're careful enough and take your time it is do-able.

You'd probably be just as well getting in touch with nintendo and letting them do it mate, my son broke the hinge on his while it was under warranty and they did it for free, they did say there may be a charge but it wouldnt be a lot, all the info you need is here
