SKY will pay for BT line install

Read this on Hotukdeals.
now there's no reason not to leave the rapidly degrading Virgin media

Just moved into a new build house and found that my phone line wasn't connected and BT were going to charge me £120 to flick a switch, tried other Networks but basically had to go through BT. At the time I was also interested in getting Sky so I rang them and they informed me that they would credit my account with £120 if I was to go ahead and get Sky which I did.

Since then my Sister has also used this deal and we also got the refer a friend £50 Marcs and sparks vouchers.

Re: SKY will pay for BT line install

'Tis true, got it in writing from Sky when I ordered TV & BB to replace my VM + 2meg BB. Plus the package saves me £30 a month plus I get between 2 and 6meg d/l.

(Yes I know about losses on BT lines, but we're only 850m from the exchange and the BT laddie reckons about 4-6meg) ... we'll see.

Re: SKY will pay for BT line install

Well just to confirm it ..... Sky have taken my BT receipt for £125 and I received my first bill notification from them for £0 this month !! (I should get no bills for 3 months) Yeh!!

PS: Am regularly recording between 5 & 7 Meg BB for £5 (well it will be when I start paying). Beats the hell outta 2Meg for £18 !!!!!

Re: SKY will pay for BT line install

In my recent move, I thought I might have to pay the 124 squid BT fee... Sky did the same offer. In a nutshell, I pay 124 quid and i get so many months free, from sky.
But my house is also a new build, and most in the area already have Bt lines installed, before being sold.
It depends on who you get on the end of the line at BT, but the second attempt, I got a nice lady who checked...and said Bt only need to switch it on at thier end, so it's free connection. Which was done on the date I said I was moving in.

I think, It should only cost if they need an engineer out to conenct harware/wire and sockets to your house. If the sockets are already in, more than likely they just need digitaly turned on.

No compensation though for having a dodgy ISP as in my case for adsl haha
