USB wireless transmitter..?
Hi all,
what i am after is a wireless transmitter to transmit to my in car radio (fm). The usb end of it will plug into a laptop and the transmitter will transmit music to the radio which is playing on CD,via media player,on the laptop. Is there such a thing?

It would be far simpler to either get a CD & Autochanger, or MP3 player

Or just get a bog standard FM transmitter and plug it into the Headphone socket on the laptop, although having a laptop on while driving isn't really the best idea (not only from a safety standpoint but also from the fact that with the HDD spinning constantly, any harsh knocks could kill it pretty easily)

Modern laptop hard drives are designed with that in mind so its not really a problem, that is unless you crash and im pretty sure if you did your laptops hdd would be the last thing on your mind.
And yes I agree, think the fm modulator would be what the OP is looking for.

Also a laptop on the seat or whatever might attract some unwanted attention (i.e get nicked) when stuck in traffic.
