Good Riddance!

Former Indonesian dictator Suharto has died.

"Indonesia ex-leader Suharto dies"

"Suharto - Obituary"

"Suharto - Wikipedia"

"One of our very best and most valuable friends" according to Maggie (she also liked Pinochet)...

"Our model dictator"

Sorry ?

I don't particularly approve of rejoicing to someone's death no matter how bad they are.

I suppose the Ultimate good riddance would have been for everyone to just totally ignore his passing, although you cannot ignore the fact of so many deaths either directly or in-directly accountable during his reign, not to mention basic human rights violations also.

I'm sorry but both of you are entitled to your viewpoints.Let's not get snippy about it though.

I'm not into being hypocritical about the dead though I must say.If someone does evil deeds then it's fine to point that out in my opinion.

Fair enough.

However, I do.

Although I'd have preferred if he had faced justice, rather than escape (via death) like Pinochet did.

For someone like him, saying "RIP" would be rather inappropriate I think.

Yes, 'Complete ******* Escapes Justice' would be more like it. We did pick 'em, didn't we?
