USB stick FUBAR'd need help
I have a 1GB flash stick (PNY attache)
The other day I removed files and did a defrag.
Today I plug it in to any of my USB ports on my lappy (XP MCE) and the activity light on the pen just flashes, I cannot connect to it as i'm told insert dick into drive, blah, blah.
I plug in to to my dads PC (XP Home) and I get told that this in not formatted.
This has data that I cannot lose, any help.

Re: USB stick FUBAR'd need help
I've got a copy of Lexar Image Rescue which might be able to help but I wouldn't hold out too much hope. Send me your email address if you want to give it a go. It's interesting that you get different results on different PCs tho. You'll probably have more luck with Image Rescue on your Dad's PC.

Re: USB stick FUBAR'd need help
I tried formating it, but it wouldn't let me.
I tried chkdsk but it would read it.
So I guess is dead, and I've lost data
Bugger, and its not fully backed up.

Re: USB stick FUBAR'd need help
It looks like Lexar have put Image Rescue online for free now - give this a go. It's worked for me on dodgy cards before. Don't try formatting it or anything again though - even if it worked you'd only lose more data!
