e-mail address

I currently have an ntl e-mail address and am a Virgin Media cable subscriber. I will shortly be moving to a non-cabled area and plan to convert to BT broadband. Can anyone out there tell me if I will still be able to keep and use my ntl e-mail address?

Thanks

As personal mailboxes normally reside on the Internet Service Provider's (IPS's) server, your chances of keeping your current E Mail address are very slim indeed. The only chance of keeping your E Mail address would be if NTL were providing you with a (non cabled) internet service - which (being BT served) it looks like they aren't.

Re: e-mail address

Thanks for the reply. How about if I register for their pay as you go dial up service but never use it. Do you think that would preserve my e-mail address?

Re: e-mail address

It's a 50/50 chance... It will either get removed, or, it won't.

Re: e-mail address

I think that you would have to dial up either every 3 or 6 months to keep the dial up account active. Any dial up techs able to confirm/correct this?
