FlimsyFeet is an unknown quantity at this point
Main account password

A question on behalf of my mother-in-law:

Her partner wanted to use the ntlworld webspace as a small page giving information about his business, so they changed the account name.

Using the new username and old password for the main account, they can get into the account management page here:
https://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi-bin/xtrmail

However, the same name/password combination will not let them ftp to upload.ntlworld.com, nor get into the new email account. The recover lost password here:
https://packageswitch.autoregister.n...ord/forgot.asp
is no use because they can't get into the mail for the new account name!

Why does it work in one page and not the other?

If they need to ring up ntl, does it have to be the expensive number or can the normal (151?) people help?

Re: Main account password

Always been a mystery, that, but changing your email user name & password doesn't change the details for the webspace, which will still be set up with your original account details.

Hopefully Customer Services can sort this out for you, it doesn't seem to be a problem for the 'I want you to reboot your modem' approach
