CDWOW - Serious Delays?

I've always been a big fan of CDWOW in the past, but did scale back my ordering from them when the BPI went after them, as there were more items out of stock or subject to delays.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a couple of CDs, pretty mainstream ones, and they are still showing as 'Pending Dispatch'. There's no info on the website about specific delays and no delay emails have been sent.

Doing a little Googling, there's a glut of forum posts elsewhere recently from people suffering from the same problems, with a wide variety of orders.

Up until this morning they were claiming that there was a fault with their phone system, so couldn't take any calls...however I have just had a lengthy conversation with someone in some far flung corner of the world on their phone line.

They have told me that their email system was broken, so couldn't send delay information.

They have told me that they have no stock of any product right now, but were working with their 'suppliers' to get a date for delivery.

I don't want to be a pessimist here, but this sounds to me like a company that is going to the wall. If you've got outstanding orders, it might be a good time to cancel them and get your refund before it's too late.
