On Demand Unavailable - Tip
I found something out when trying to access "On Demand" programmes,
In the past i occasionally was confronted with the dialogue box saying:
"On Demand is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"
and at the bottom of the dialogue box:
"Press OK to close window"
I found that by pressing OK and then hi-lighting the programme again and pressing OK, it usually accepts my command.
Sometimes i find that if it will not accept my command, i move the hi-lighted programme position up or down a couple of programmes, it will then let me choose the programme that i want.
Since discovering this a couple of days ago, it appears to work every time now (hopefully i haven't put a curse on it now)
I hope this makes sense, it's pretty difficult to explain it.
And the Sky Movies "Red Button" problem i've experienced, with it refusing to go past the "Loading" stage usually works again after a Reboot (useless i know if the film you want to watch is about to start)
The reboot seems to last for 2 to 3 days or so.

Re: On Demand Unavailable - Tip
I had real trouble on Saturday trying to rent a film on VOD. Every time I tried I got the "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" message. After the umpteenth time I finally managed to get it. Will try your tip next time it happens. Was pleased to see that in my area the HD film content has increased from 3 to eight titles. Hope there's a lot more to come as not much point in having an HD set without a good choice of films, guess this is where Sky has the edge on VM.

Perseverance has generally been the answer, it's odd that after a couple of tries you can usually get through - why can't it work first time?

Re: On Demand Unavailable - Tip
Dont forget what you are using; basically a little computer.
Sometimes your computer crashes. Too many processes.
As you say, Persevernce pays off, most of the time.
It gives it a moment to stop processing near-finish or not needed processes and concentrate on your requirement.
