Re: Freak storm batters south London
That's actually facing more west, not south. It felt like it was bang overhead here just after 5pm - really very violent but quite short. Lots of hail bouncing off the shed roof and a big puddle outside in the street, but no flooding. Looking at those pictures it was centred a couple of miles east and moved south-east - there was no hail lying on the ground when it stopped chucking it down.

You leave Romford alone.... it's not their fault they are all related
We drove home during it yesterday and even on our side of London it was absolutely terrible. Some of the roads were just constant streams of water and in some places it was coming down that fast the drains were'nt coping and the water was a couple of inches deep.
We also know that there was a fatal accident on a road near to us here last night due to the really cra**y visibility and conditions.

Re: Freak storm batters south London
I was bowling in it ! It was a league match and all rounds had to be played on the same evening. When I got home I literally had waterlogged clothes even though I was wearing wet weather clothing.

Well, getting home was fun. In one one train journey we had Adverse weather, a signal failure at Cannon Street and a security alert.

Well, we told you what would happen if you went out packing heat, but would you listen?
